Default Patriot to TEA heads. Worth the switch?

Got a chance to pick up some TEA 5.3 Stage II heads for a decent price. I'm just trying to decide if its worth it to go from my current Patriot Stage II LS6's. The TEA's in question apparently flow 321 intake and 266 exhaust at "6,000 rpm", which should be a good gain over the Patriots. I'd also be going from 59cc chambers to 63cc chambers on the TEA's, but I could uses Cometics to get the compression back. Do you think its worth the time and $300 or so?

what kind of power are you making now? If you are around 410-430 now i would say no, but if you are below that i would say go for it.

$300 bucks for TEA 5.3 2.5's? I'd say do it just for the resale value, but thats me. I'd buy them, have a machine shop check them out and if all is good either change over to them, or resale them. make sure all the valves, valve seats, springs, ect. are good to go first. me personally would swap them out and put the patriots up for sale.

That gives me a chance to update my sig, so the numbers are in there. I'm pretty close to what you're making w/o the pulley or Fast 90.

Well, I'd be spending around $200-300 to do the switch after selling the Patriots. The heads only have 1k miles on them and of course have dual springs and Ti retainers.

No, I would just resell the TEA's since some guys still think Patriot makes a bad head. They performed perfect on my SS.

TEA make a way better head than Patriot, look at the the #rs at the track. I just bought some new stock 243s from Patriot for $395 and will send them to TEA for their new stage 2 treatment that is as good or better than the TFS 215 they developed.

Its on their web site. They are flowing 320s and 260s with a 225 intake port. Just give em a call they will fill you in on the latest.
