Anyone ever hear a "cricket" noise from up in the valvetrain?

That is the best way I can describe it. It sounds like a cricket, but just on one side. I dont belive its getting enough oil on the side. I put another pump and o ring and and it did nothing. This is all after my cam swap and about two and half hours on the dyno it started to make this noise. Everything has been replaced as far as valvetrain goes. After the motor is warmed up the oil pressure will drop down to about 20psi, which is no good for a brand new pump. At start up its 50 or so and the noise is real faint. The only thing I can think of now is the cam retainer plate, and the gasket on that has gone to ****. Any similar disasters happen to anyone?
PS The threaded rod method is a must or you will have to helicoil your crank like myself....

Yes, I heard it before in my engine when my Futral f13 cam disintegrated. Stop running it now and start zeroing in on the problem. Could be something simple or could be serious. If you have already removed the belts to make sure it's not the pulleys start by removing the valve covers to check there.

Everything is new. It is only coming from the driver side. I dont believe its getting enough oil. I just changed the pump and it didn't do it at first. It did the noise once it was warmed up, and then, the oil pressure dropped to 20. My old stock setup never went that low. I'm going to replace that retainer plate and hopefully that is the problem. Were you having the same oiling issue?

I know there are some idiots on the site, but can you give me alittle bit more credit than that? I ran it for a few seconds without a belt and the noise was still there.
I put new rockers on that side and the noise intensified with the old pump. I changed the pump and it was hardly noticable until it warmed up and then its just terrible.
