Black Z if u call them I think they will help u with the engine problem
They have done this already with other guys who had issues..

Doug,I stand correct 21G..Thats even more to be happy about, that is serious weight loss off the valve train.

Big Kap this was a Comp info post, leave the personal attacks at the door...
I dont think Doug would like someone attacking his company..

I'm not attacking the company, I think its great that Comp had the company they get there beehives revise them...because there was obviously QA issues. What I have a problem with is the vast majority of failures with The Comp beehives that went unfixed, not just the ones that failed...but the ones out of box that came tweaked, not straight..whatever you want to call it(I have seen it). There is no reason that these springs should have even made it on the market in such a fashion. I think Comp offers some great products, but IMO when there is a comparable spring by another company(that being PAC) that is offered at the same price but offers far more Value I would go with those. Revised or not, at the same price...I would most certainly go with a spring with a proven track record, not one with a proven failure record. Again I am in no way bashing the company, I have run quite a few of their products that I feel are the best for my application including now. I just look down upon their choice to switch spring Manufacturers. Please take no offense about my opinion I have stated, i'll agree that the Beehive style spring is fantastic...and it would be ridiculous if Comp stopped offering them, thats great news about the Revision...

do you guys have the comp # to call. I know that sounds dump but I am deployed and can't get to the site from here. going to deal with this when I get home, I am going to remove them from my heads before they go on the wifes car. Thats all I need is for the spring to break and kill here engine. Thanks again guys for this info

I just got off the phone with Chris. Even though he didn't show ANY problems from my batch #, he said they would prefer to replace them for me. He is sending me an updated set today. I was going to install my new cam this weekend, but I will put it off for a week to have the new springs. I went ahead and ordered a set of pushrods from him too.

Chris Mays at comp cams told me that the new 918s are good to .650, BUT they only rate them at .625 to give some room for lee-way.

Does anyone know how long the return fedex lable from comp is good for. because i was wanting to wait a few weeks until i can get my new heads done before i do the swap. But if there only good for a certain amount of time i'll go ahead and do them now and then again when I do my heads.

whats the installed height? 1.8?
1.1 coil bind i think thats what i read.

for a 232/232 .595/.595 110+3 would the new 918's be the way to go? i was thinking about using duals
