Default Comp revises the 918's!!!!

I just got my NEW ENHANCED Comp 918's in the mail from Comp.I had the older blues stripes waiting to go on my heads but after hearing about some issues I contacted Chris Mays at Comp...

He said they had a new 918 good to .625 and a 928 good to .650..
He was sending me out a call tag and a new set of 918's...

They look NOTHING like the older 918..
They are MICRO-PEENED and are SILVER in finish and Comp is using CLEAN METAL..

They look real nice....

If they were truely having issues with them, they SHOULD have offered to replace them with the new ones..

Dang who did you call and what is needed to qualify for this?
I have a set of used 918's in a box waiting for install, but I don't want to use them if they might be bad.

Nice...not surprising that they'd step their game up.

U need to call Chris Mays at Comp Cams..
He wants back all 918s that have had issues as they wanna find out what went wrong.

He will send u a call tag for your springs in the box and a new ENHANCED version of the 918's for free as along as u send back the older 918's..

He was giving out 928's but they are not doing that anymore...

Just call Comp tech and ask for Chris,He might not answer right away but leave a messege and he will get back to u in a day....

What kind of info do I need to give Chris?
I only have the springs, no box, proof of purchase or anything..
Is that going to be a problem for me? Just wondering what I should expect when I call.
I sure don't want to run these old springs if I have to worry about them breaking.

Are they taking back all 918s just to be sure, or are they only taking back ones that have had a problem?

I haven't had any problems but don't want to keep running them if I might.

I can't afford to put a motor in this thing, if one does go bad.

I called and left a message for Chris a little bit ago. I'm betting they are really busy with this deal.
