how bad is the LS1 intake hurting
#2
Wow, cam and long tubes and still running the ls1 manifold? Go for the upgrade. You'll kick yourself for not doing it sooner.
I just went to the fast90 myself from the ls1 - huge difference everywhere, and the motor now has a genuine top end, even with stock heads and cam still in.

The FAST 90 is not overkill on the 346.
I picked up power (about 25-30 rwhp, give or take) when I swapped the LS6 for my 90/90 set up. I did have it ported though, which helps!
If you plan on revving to the moon, then a FAST will shine. I run the MS3 cam, which is known to be a top end power cam, which I enjoy at the track, and on the street.
My low end power isn't as much as it could be, but when I hit 5000 rpm, forget about it- BYEBYE...ps, that is what my dual stage is for lol
I think you will be just fine with an LS6 manny...the FAST is a cherry on the top if you know what I am saying...

Yeah LS1 intake is holding you back even on a completely stock car. My first mods were lid and LS6 intake and what a difference. The motor felt stronger everywhere. 90/90 is great, but it's a ton of dough. I would get it in a heartbeat if it was cheaper. It doesn't have the same bang for the buck as a $300 LS6 intake.
