Thumbs up New Tfs "as Cast" Heads

I heard a rumor that TFS is coming out with some killer "as cast" LS1 heads, with CNC bowl blend and full CNC chamber.

I also heard a rumor that the flow is within 1-2% of the full CNC head, for around $1900 a pair.

They will come in a "LS1" and "LS2" version, with the same exact CNC chambers and parts as the current fully CNC ported 215cc and 225cc heads.

The intake port volume is 220cc's on both versions, and 82cc on the exhaust.

There is a small picture on the front page of the TFS website under new products.

I heard the same rumor. I can't believe you just heard about this. I have known for about 6 months now.

In fact I have been working directly with one of Trick Flow's employee's to get a few sets when they become available.

I saw these at SEMA. They looked nice. If the flow numbers in the mid-range are within a few percentage points of your full-CNC ported sets, you should sell quite a few. I'm looking forward to seeing some flow comparisons as soon as you can have them ready.

That is not the bare price, that is complete.

I will spill the beans, we flowed one and from .100”-.500” it was within 1% of the CNC head, the .600” was down 2%. TFS will never advertise numbers this high on an “as cast” head due to the nature of the casting process and the inconsistencies that come with it. I can’t wait to see one on the dyno, I expect less than 10 HP difference from the CNC head to “as cast” head.

So Brian what your saying is the porting you do on the 215's must suck. I mean to have a as cast head nearly outflow your badass head.

Note Brian and I are buddy's. I just like you kick him in the nuts every once in a while.
The TFS heads are great heads, and really well designed.
These new as cast casting's will hopefully now give many customer's another option for a better price. Dart should hate this thread, as we all know (or at least assume) this head will mop the floor with a out of the box Dart head.

Thanks TEA for posting the info, now send me a set for free to try.

Actually what I am saying is the patten makers at TFS are that GOOD.

It will have the "Gold" springs and a choice of titanium or chromoly retainers.

I've dealt with a couple of them a few times myself

These heads should be a great deal at an awesome cost.

Umm, I'm interested, as long as this is on par or better competition to the AFR 205 head's I'm looking at for so much more. What's timing on flow #'s and availability to gerneral consumers?

Very impressive numbers for an as-cast head. Can't wait to see some real-world dyno results.

I love it when new parts come to the market. These sound like they are going to be very competitive.
