Correct. Cost very little extra so I figured wtf why not.

Yea it was worth the little extra to know exactly what the specs are because they obviously aren't perfect

i didn't want to read through the whole thing so what cam did you go with? it seems you and me are building something of the same thing... but i'm going with a forged bottom end, with some more juice...

It turned out great!

My cam turned out to be 231.28 / 232.88 111LSA on the cam doctor

10 degrees overlap

I also installed...

-Powerbond 25% UD Pulley (which is apparently a pain to install)
-Ported Oil Pump
-LS2 Timing Set
-7.425 Pushrods
-Patriot Extreme Dual Springs / Harmonic Balancer Bolt

I already had full exaust and every other bolt on done.

The car put down 404whp/386wtq.

Running very hot after it's 6th dyno pull (Vengeance was having some dyno trouble) it still put down 392whp/379wtq.

It's way too loud for where I live. I have LT's and a Loudmouth with no cats. I'll post a couple clips as soon as they upload.

Here's the last dyno (only one that we printed). Ron was having some dyno issues and I'm going back next week to get a clean run/print off.

We are very close on #'s. That's what I was making when he was making consecutive pulls. 392whp we let it sit for a minute and then it made 397. What's your idle set at? I'm going to have to take mine back sometime, they set the idle to high. It idles at 950 almost 1k it kills my lope. The hot cam sounds tougher on the stock tune. Also when I mash in the clutch to let it coast the RPM's want to go up to about 2k. I don't like that. There are a few nit picks I have here and there with the tune and it sucks because I'm 2 hours away it ain't like I'm just going to town to get my tune adjusted. But as long as they take care of me it'll be all good.

Did you go to Vengeance? If so, then street re-tunes are free and definitely worth the trip if you aren't completely satisfied.

My idle is set right around 1K. It seems to get a bit jumpy under 15-1600 rpm in gear, so it could use a bit more tuning, but I need a couple days to keep an eye on everything.

As far as sounding tougher, I really don't want my car ANY louder or lopier. Initially I was worried it wouldn't be loud enough, but when I pulled in today I had two neighbors come out onto there porches and stare at me. When I went to pick the car up, the first thing I heard from the Vengeance guys was "this thing is way loud". With only 10 degrees overlap I guess my exaust setup is making it lod.

Yeah I went to Vengeance. And I'm going to go back when I get the time but it would be nice if I didn't have to go back. Your neighbors were probably just wanting to see what was sounding so tough. I'm open headers right now so I'm getting a few looks myself.

Wow your're running open headers! That has to be way too loud. I ran open headers for a few days with no cam and it was hella loud. I wonder how loud my car is going to be! And i have 11* of overlap

If you guys are having trouble with ur cams idle just go through a few cold starts.......and put about 100 miles on it, if your not satisfied go back to your tuner, rock ws6 your tune should be altered open headers and after u put ur exhaust back on.
