I was going to buy a underdrive pulley as well but the tune was higher than I thought it was going to be. I was guesstimating about $450 and I was south of that figure by about $125. I'm still going through them because I hear nothing but good things about them, but that seems stiff doesn't it? I think Texas Speed is like $400 and I have heard of a few being closer to $500 but when I called and they said $575. Holy ****. Really? It includes free retunes so when you look at that its not that bad of a deal but I wasn't planning on doing anything else to my car for a while, but almost $600 bucks. JESUSS. What do you guys think?
Damn thats a lot for a tune! but free retunes are cool. I think a tune for a cam is about $450

Not sure who is doing the tune on your setup, but around here most shops charge around $550 and up for a dyno tune. Not a typical dyno tune, but a load bearing complete (including part throttle) tune. If this is the kind of tune, it is worth it. If it is only a couple of WOT passes on the dyno for about an hour's worth of time, it is not worth it. Most street tuners will also charge around $200 while only using the fuel trims. Or up to $400, which is usually due to the fact that they tune via a wideband. Good luck with your cams guys.

Yeah I know I had my Subaru tuned at Harmon Motive in Torrance. It costs $600 not to mention I had to buy the accessport before that so there was another $400. So I ended up paying $1000 for a tune in the scoob. But this is the main reason I got out of the import scene everythings more expensive for those things. But $575 is still not that bad but its just more than I budgeted. I was just expecting less.

Good **** man. Waiting for the parts to come in is tough I started the install without everything, just assuming they'd come in in time. Whoops

I am in no rush to install the cam. I still need to make sure i have money for the install and tune. And i need to figure out who is going to do the install, i would like another member to do it so its not as expensive as the shop but we'll see what happens.

And my clutch has been acting up so i'm sure i'll have to save up for a new clutch with the added power

Ah that's right you gotta budget for the install. As for the clutch, mine is still holding with ~375rwhp, 114k miles. Knock on wood...

Thats pretty good!

But even if its ok with the new cam it still doesn't like the spray so it has to go!

Just make sure you don't get the Powergrip HD. Its ****. I just put one in mine and if I could afford it I would take it right back out. It chatters like you wouldn't believe. Horrible. My cam install will start Friday and will be tuned Monday.

Thats bad news. I was going to buy the HD. I need a good clutch that can hold my power but can still be affordable. I can't afford a TEX so i need something else
