Default Installing REV springs...

When I go to install my REV double springs with the new spring seats, will the seat just be able to basically fall in, or do I have to remove the valve seals or anything like that...?

you'll have to remove the valve seals and replace them. Other than that, the seats just fall in.

Set the piston at TDC and the valve will have no place to go.

I used the MORE Performance spring compressor and it was easy as pie to put these springs on my heads in the car.

I used an air-valve to pressurize each cylinder and hold the valve up while I changed them out. This is the easiest method if you've got an air compressor.

Turn the engine over until the exhaust valve opens then closes; keep turning and the intake opens then closes . . . now both valves should be closed all the way, so turn the crank another 100 degrees and you should be close to TDC.

Another way you could do it is to turn the crank until you find the point where both valves are barely closed, but if you turn the crank either direction from there one valve or the other immediatly starts to open. Then turn the crank exactly one full turn (360 degrees) from there and you are at TDC.

I'll be doing this with the heads on the car...thats why I dont think I can use the air compressor trick to hold the valves up when I pull the valve seals...

So TDC shouldn't be that hard to hit huh...? I hope not...

The only way you can do it with an air compressor is with the heads on the car
