Default N-Motion Double Roller Install Questions

Hello,
Well i have an N-Motion Double roller chain set for my new motor and just have a few questions before i install it. Obviously i have to pull the gear pulley off the crank so i can install the double roller crank gear...

-Can i just use my 3 jaw puller for this?

Next, i am installing the cam dot to dot style, on the crank gear pulley, there is no dot for the double roller, instead... 0, +2, -2, +4, -4, etc.

-Do i want to install this so the gear is sitting on the crank with that little notch at zero, then then spin it and line the zero up with the dot on the cam?

Also, the 4 bolts included i assume were for the cam cover, but they are too long, so will the stock cam bolts work just as fine?

Thank you!

Ok, i just pulled the stanard single crank gear off the crank, now installing this N-Motion double, there is the double gear, the oil pump thingy, what looks like a big bearing about this size of the gear, and 2 spacers of some sort, one spacer is for 2 bolts, the other is for 2 boltswith a bigger hole down lower to form a triangle.... this set up came with no instructions and i have no idea where the bearing goes, and what the hell these spacers are for. Also, i am just going to install the gear at the 0 position which is what i believe is the same as the dot? Help please! Thanks!

ok more questions..... the Crank gear has numbers on it, no dot... There are 2 sets of numbers tho, one set around the center area, then above those around it, are another set of numbers on the gears. Which set do i go by? And do i use 0 on this set as the dot?

ok, further progress by doing what i believe is correct. So anyone that had done an N-Motion double roller chain, help me out.....

I have Piston #1 at the top, with this # 6 is...

I have my cam gear installed on the cam and the dot is facing the direct bottom (6 o'clock)

Now i have the crank gear installed and you know the notch on the crank that you slide the gear on by? Well i slid it on with the inner "0" of the crank gear on the notch, and with #1 at TDC and 0 on the notch, the outer "0" on the tooth faces directly up (12 o'clock)

I think i have this set up correctly, but need verification. I will get pics in a few. Thanks!

zero is correct, I thought you were on the right track with your second post, just use the LS2 chain.

I would degree the cam as long as you are going to the trouble. That way you are absolutely sure.

Did you get the shim on the output port side(Bank 1) of the oil pump oriented correctly? The longer bolts are used on the pump because the shims set the pump out from the block slightly to allow space for the double chain. You need to be sure the hole in the shim on the drivers side is concentric with the holes in the block and the output port on the oil pump. You also need to put a little RTV on that shim before you install it.

Already talked to you in AIM, but I'll post up to help anyone else who's wondering.

To install the cam it with no advance, install the crank gear with the keyway in the "0" spot on the inner part. Then when you take #1 to TDC the outer "0" should be at 12 o'clock. To install it "+2", your keyway goes in the inner "+2" mark and with #1 at TDC the outer "+2" will be at 12 o'clock. Then check to be sure the cam gear's dot is at 6 0'clock.

We just installed a rollmaster double roller timing set on my 2002 and had to grind the cover too clearance it from the .125 that the shims made the pump stick out. Also the balancer needed to be clearanced the same amount or else it would contact the oil pump.Just a heads up,not shure if yours needs the same but im guessing it DOES!!!
