This was covered the other day, I was thinking of ditching my T2 but was talked into advancing it 4 degrees. And there is no advance ground into it unless you requested it when you bought it.

Is that something that just TSP does? or has Comp stopped putting advance in the cams automatically?

I believe they stopped doing it automatically. I was told it was just 112 no advance and someone said they only do it on request.

degree it, see where IVO is, and ICL comes out at. Then make a decision from there.

I agree, setting it 2 degrees advanced when you don't know where it is to begin with is like shooting in the dark with your fingers crossed. You should also check the PTV, advancing the cam will alter the PTV numbers as well.

I once degreed in a cam when I was building an engine. I found the cam
was advanced a little over 3 degrees, so I decided to ADV it 2 degrees. That was a HUGE mistake. The car lost massive top end power and really ran worse on bottom. I had to yank the cover and retard it (adj timing gear) 2 degrees. The engine cam alive on bottom and top end. My advice, DONT DO IT.
