Would i gain any By advancing my cam 2*
had a friend bring up this idea to me the other day im just curious as to would it benifit me in any aspect of power wise. The cam is a Torquer V2 112lsa and i instaled it Dot-To-Dot .So what do you guys think is it worth it just looking for alittle more power out of my old car .and if i did would i have to get it retuned or etc.and what degree can i advance it im on stock 806 heads and gaskets.

This was covered the other day, I was thinking of ditching my T2 but was talked into advancing it 4 degrees. And there is no advance ground into it unless you requested it when you bought it.

I agree, setting it 2 degrees advanced when you don't know where it is to begin with is like shooting in the dark with your fingers crossed. You should also check the PTV, advancing the cam will alter the PTV numbers as well.

I once degreed in a cam when I was building an engine. I found the cam
was advanced a little over 3 degrees, so I decided to ADV it 2 degrees. That was a HUGE mistake. The car lost massive top end power and really ran worse on bottom. I had to yank the cover and retard it (adj timing gear) 2 degrees. The engine cam alive on bottom and top end. My advice, DONT DO IT.
