ms3?
Some will say yes & others will say no, either way you're gonna need gears if you want any kind of bottom end... I personally would go no higher than a low 230's duration on a dd.

MS3 here and daily driven with stock 3.42s gears. Its not to bad, pulls like crazy up top. But as said before soem gears like 4.11s would really wake it up down low in the rpms. If your not in the mood to do gears something a bit smaller might be what your looking for.

They speak the truth! While many do run that camshaft with a stock gear out back, your best results on the street and at the track will come when you've some some more gear to help get you into that powerband sooner. Give me a call or PM if I can help with your project!

OP, the MS3 will make great power up top, but it all depends on your definition of a "good street car" or "good DD". If to you, that strictly means "can be driven on the street" or "can be driven everyday", then I say go for it. But if it means "smooth idle, great cold startups, good in stop and go traffic", you might want to look for something a little more mild.

I had an MS3 with stage 2 heads on my hawk and I never had a problem with it. It even sat in a traffic jam for 2 hours with the ac on and never over heated. Its all in the tuning. You can get away with the cam with 3:42 in a M6 but in an auto at least do 3:73's
We install the MS4 camshaft all the time with stock m6 gearing. That being said you might also look to the Torquer 3 if you plan on staying stock gear. The T3 has a tendency to come in a little bit earlier & make it's power at a little bit lower rpm!
