LSL Lobes (LOL lobes)
Hi,
I just ordered my cam yesterday at Thunderracing and they've shown me a new lobe family from Comp Cams called LSL.
They seem to be between XFI and LSK.
I got the 219@.050 with .607 lift
Does anyone know more about these new lobes?
Alex

Yep. I heard that as well. The tech at Comp Cam wouldn't disclose them when I called today. But the new cam spec I want will more than likely be cut using them. I'm going to call tomorrow and talk to my inside connection for details.

Anybody ever wonder why the "old school" cams like the T1 and B1 make just as much power as the crazy new lobes with crappier headers, intakes and smaller MAF's?

Pretty easy answer to that. You gotta have something new and exciting to spur new interest and SALES. Otherwise you would only have the 20% that are looking for cams buying and not the other 20% that are constantly looking for something new to squeeze out that 2.45 extra hp.

not really true the power potential for cammed ls1 cars has increased probaly 25% in the last few years... of course there is always marketing but to go as far and say something like a old schoool hot cam is is potent as some of the newer grinds is just plain ingorant

People need to stop getting boners over "new lobe" designs and be more focused on building a solid combination. Most of these new lobe designs are rediculously hard on the valvetrain.

Well said. I do NOT believe in maxing out your overhead assembly in a street car. Very dumb when you look at these things in any kinda of durability standpoint.

Oh Really-so where was the AFR 205's, 225's the Trickflow, ETP and even the Fast intakes?
Did you ever see Raughammer's car?
Everybody wants the new bumpstick but don't even bother getting the right pushrod length or setting up the spring perfectly, or spending money on trick lightweight valves or good lifters.
Get the cam if it makes you that happy!
