Default 1.85 comp cams rockers ls6 springs on stock cam

I bought some comp cam 1.85 rockers and was wondering if i could use yellow ls6 springs 570 lift and comp cams magnum stock length 7.4 pushrods that I have laying around allready with them.I have a stock cam in my 2000 ls1 camaro I calculated the extra lift to put me at around 541.94 lift by dividing my gross lift intake/exhaust by stock rocker ratio 1.7 and then multiplying that number by my new rocker ratio 1.85=541.94. i just want to double check and im not sure on the pushrod length and i dont really want to buy some new springs since I allready have some.let me know what you guys think hopefully im right and my parts work for this setup and if you guys have any comp cam rocker arm instructions please let me know thanks.

Pushrod length should be the same, im in the almost same boat as you. I bought some Harlandsharp 1.8 rr's and with my hotcam at .525 and a 1.8 rr my new lift is .556 and I am getting some patriot gold springs from Speedinc because I didn't like the way they were sounding while I was getting a retune. like I always say upgrade and never replace

yeah thats what I was thinking it should be good on my setup but litle88 said his were sounding weird when he was getting a tune with 556 lift.I dont think there would be a difference from a cam and a higher ratio rocker arm sound at the same lift.

Yes you do and I calculated it to be 541.94 so I would think the ls6 springs would be good enough,Im not that close to the max lift on those springs.

Thanks but I allready have some new ls6 springs for it,I saw on another post here the lift was 498 on the intake and 497 on the exhaust or vice versa but you go with the highest lift but it doesnt matter its only a little less lift.

Ok!Easy

I just want to give him the RIGHT info and not an "I heard" or "my buddy" typeof info that is all. I never said there was anything wrong with the springs he's going with.

Dont forget to upgrade the Pushrods they are only about 100bux and are a must in my honest opinion. free shipping from Speedinc!
