Are you talking stock cubes and is this the power at the motor or at the wheels?

more displacement or high rpm... (or nitromethane)

there is a million possible combinations of components to achieve this. Naturally aspirated displacement essentially limits your peak torque... you just get to choose where to "place" that peak torque. And you would have to have Peak torque at a very high rpm to achieve your numbers at stock LS1 displacement.

P.S. Price DOES matter.. unless your formula 1... (if it doesnt.. what are you doing driving an F-body..)

solid roller/ETP canted valve heads/intake/ridiculous cam/STILL don't know if that'll get you there? Lots of $$. FI is cheaper.

Thats a little much for a 346ci LS1.

You can do it with a 454 LSX though.

Maybe this is a two part question;

1) can it be done, 600-700 hp on a stock 346 LS6 block? ( I think you mean LS6 not an LS1 block, two different blocks and production years.)

and

2) what parts would it take to build such an engine?

Well the Speed World GT Corvettes did get 550 BHP and up to 7400 rpms on the LS6s. Pumping out a bit more now on the LS3 blocks.

I'm thinking if I was going to spend that kind of money to build a LS1 I would opt for a 408 or something with big displacement.

im sure this car isnt going to be a drag car so just put your money in a power adder with 408 and call it a day..

cost you a arm in a leg to build those numbers 346 N/A..

Ok guys. Stop messing with this guy. All you need is to get lid, a cutout and run 116 octane. Oh, and it only makes power when you are listening to a metalica CD.

Why is there always a thread like this started once a week?

And the same MO.....What parts,what numbers,money is not an object.

I said it before. People who brag about having lots of money usually don't
