Default Dyno results.. Nothing too special. Updated with Dyno Sheet

01 SS M6 (LS6 intake, 28lb injectors)
FRA
K+N
Direct Flow Lid
Maf Ends
Ported TB
Pacesetter LT Headers
Dual QTP cutouts
(Through exhaust: Catco cheapy cats, 3" to 2.5" reducers, Flowmaster y-collector, Hooker Aeromax muffler)

I was using MAFT to adjust AF.
Tire Pressure was at 18lbs

Through the exhaust 330/330 with 13.0 A/F (103* 29.4-0.44in.HG. CF=1.04) Engine temp @ 204*
Open headers 337/342 with 13.0 A/F (104* 29.4-0.46in.HG. CF=1.04) Engine temp @ 205*

Who still thinks you loose torque with open headers?? Never once does the torque lessen with open headers.

Thinking to myself "Must install FTRA. Must install Walbro 340. Must install TR224 cam. Must install ASP Pulley. Must install TNT. Need time.."

Wow. You only gained 7 HP and 12 TQ by running open headers? Id think that you'd have gained more, especially since you also have cats.

Those are actually pretty decent numbers though for your mods. Now, its time to get a heads/cam package on there and really awaken the beast!

You may have gained peak torque but many times it can cost you low end torque. According to what I've read by the experts, this is usually the case.

Looks good to me.The open exhaust is showing you the Y-pipe and Catback are not flowing good. There will be a bigger difference when you add more power.

LIL SS, I agree with Juice . And actually I think your numbers are pretty good considering what you have done. Your modifications to the MAF and TB probably did absolutely nothing for your numbers. Porting the TB is pretty useless unless you're putting up some big numbers.

Since I can't scan it yet:

Closed exhaust
RPM/ TQ/ HP
2250/ 275/ 115
2500/ 280/ 130
2750/ 285/ 150
3000/ 295/ 170
3250/ 300/ 190
3500/ 300/ 200
3750/ 307/ 220
4000/ 320/ 240
4250/ 325/ 260
4500/ 322/ 280
4750/ 330/ 300
5000/ 330/ 315
5250/ 325/ 325
5500/ 310/ 330
5750/ 300/ 330
6000/ 280/ 325

Open Exhaust:
RPM/ TQ/ HP
2250/ 275/ 115
2500/ 280/ 130
2750/ 287 - 150
3000/ 300 - 170
3250/ 310 - 190
3500/ 315 - 205
3750/ 320 - 225
4000/ 327 - 250
4250/ 335 - 275
4500/ 340 - 295
4750/ 342 - 310
5000/ 340 - 325
5250/ 330 - 330
5500/ 320 - 337
5750/ 300 - 332
6000/ 290 - 330

Not just on peak

I know that the ported TB and the MAF ends probably aren't helping much right now, but did them anyway anticipating the cam and other mods that are going on very soon. I am aware that I will pick up much more with open headers as the y-pipe gets more restrictive (I/E Cam, N20)..

Then I have to say I'm pretty impressed by the gains from the cutouts . I believe the article I read referred to using cutouts on an otherwise stock exhaust, but I forgot to take your LT's into account. If the cutouts increased your HP by that much, then you're right, it sounds like your other mods haven't added much HP. Have you had it tuned yet? With the headers and other things you've done it may just need a good tuning.

I agree with the others. It looks pretty good for what few mods you got on there right now.

TA, The pulls I made last night were a base pull before the TR224 and the TNT go on. I have done a little tunning with MAFT only. A/F was a solid 12.9-13.0 on all my pulls (8pulls total).. All my open header pulls were perfect with eachother with in 1hp. Same goes for the pulls through the exhaust, all with in 1 hp.

FYI...your engine temp is too hot to get max numbers. try at 190 next time (get 160 t-stat and lower fan settings).
good info on the open header comparision!

Those "cheapy cats" are costing you hp. I'd guess around 10-15rwhp.

Good to see no TQ loss on the bottom end, that was my favorite mod before H/C. Match the ported TB up with a LS6 intake and a pulley. Have you had it to the track?

I dont think he is dynoing low at all, those are great numbers for a stock car, its probably going to make 370 with the tr 224 cam and more with the cut outs open, looks like he didnt loose any low end torque, from 2k up he gained, good luck, let us know your new mod results
