Default 3 Cam choices!!! (Which one for my setup?)

I'm planning on using one of these 3 cams for my setup but I'm having trouble deciding. Cam choices are Speed Inc. SI5, SI6, or SI7. Does anyone have any experience or info that would help. The car is a m6, full boltons, Fast/NW 92/90, Patriot Stg2 59cc LS6 heads, and SI5, SI6, or SI7 cam. I'll be running this combo thru a 9"w/3.89s. My goals are to have a car that makes good hp and trq from 1800-6600 and can still be taken on road trips with no driveablity issues. I'd like to see the car make around 420-430 too.

Cam Spec:
SI5 231/237 589/595 112
SI6 235/240 621/609 111
SI7 238/244 605/612 110

Anyone else have any info? Especially on the SI7. I'm really leaning towards this cam but I'd like some real world info on it.

Default im heard good about SI5 with Stage 3 heads

Ok i have a Ls2 6.0 364cid engine. with 4.005 bore and stock crank with scat i beam rods with 8720 ARPp rod bolts, and 4.005 bored Diamond forged Pistons with stock valve reliefs in the pistons , now im getting Stage 3 heads with 64cc, 2.08 intake and 1.60 exhaust, with speed inc SI5 camshaft , cam specs are as followed 231/237, .589/595 lift at 112lsa , will i have any problems with piston to valve clearance ?

Im going to try the whole thing with hobby play doe to put on top of the intake and exhaust valves on the pistons then put the whole heads and everything else together and check to see how much my clearance is !! should be around .080 clearance on the intake , and .100 on the exhaust right ?

I would think that Stage 3 heads with the valves they come with if purchased with a big cam might have PTV clearance issues with stock pistons without valve reliefs , but i could be wrong .

Default at least 420 to 430 hp

i would go with the SI5 from what i talked to frasier at speed inc it would be the best cam for drivability. and you should have a problem reaching 420hp with the right tune !!

I've got an LQ4 swap going on right now with mine... along with some AFR 205's and a 224r cam... My builder says I should put down around 420 rwhp... so those huge cams your listing and with your existing mods, i can see you easily hitting your HP goals...

i'd vote SI5 cam... the SI7 though huge, isn't necasarrily better...

Default Si7

look up screen name Top Fuel

H/C combo which goes 10.x @ 126 mph

The 5 & 6 are more street friendly over the 7, but it's still very streetable & sounds wicked.

I wonder if you will have any issues with valve clearances? You do have 59cc heads, what size gaskets you running?

I have the old style SI6(232/240 .595/.610 110) in my car. With Patriot cnc'd 243's, ported FAST 90/90, and all the bolt-ons my car made 452/405 to the rear wheels. If you have a goal and tell Larry what you want he will get you there. Listen to him, he's done this once or twice before!

SI5 should get you over your desired HP with the FAST92/90 and other stuff and I bet would still have great drivability. SHould be plenty big enough of a cam.

All good cams and grinds,
with your heads, you have to ask yourself, am I going to flycut?
If yes and you goal is track time, S17 for sure.

Wow, new cams that I hadnt heard before! Dont mean to Hi-jack the thread, but how does the SI6 and the MS3 cam compare to each other. I know the duration and lifts, I am talking about the overall performance. What has the best power under the curve, ETC, ETC...?
