Terminator Head ????'s
The time for my H/C swap is almost here and about all I have left to do is order the heads and cam I gonna search the Dyno section but wanted any guys here running these heads to give me their opinions. My tuner really likes these heads and thinks for the $$$ (about what a stage II LS6 head costs) they are a lot of bang for the buck. So......who out there is running these and what do guys think? Input from any tuners who have worked with these is welcome too!

honestly...not many guys are running these. seems odd that your tunner loves them so much if nobody seems to have them.
they are good flowing, small runner heads....so they'll make good power down low.

Thanks for the replies guys. Tuner says the one set he has done made naerly 500rwhp but I don't know the rest of the setup was. I am having a hard time deciding cause the new Livenois LS6 flow really good low/mid lift and I really like them. I will talk to RPM in Garner again more about that setup before I decide what to do. They are within $200 of the LS6 heads so I'm kinda surprised more haven't tried them. I will keep everybody posted on what I decide and the results. Anybody else???

FYI, i was literally one click away from ordering these heads but changed my mind when i found out how much of a mismatch the f.a.s.t. intake was to the intake ports on these heads. That's the only thing that turned me off. People have still made good power with these heads, ms3 and the f.a.s.t. though! Since then, i bought me some used 2000 mile AFR 205's for what i was gonna pay for the terminators and just got them freshined up and milled

Since then I added a Fast 90mm intake and LS2 90mm Tb. Yes, the intake does not line up to the heads intake runners but, I still pick up some power off the intake. As far as how much I picked up I dont know because I haven't re-dynoed the car, but it pulled a lot harder in the upper rpms. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks for the info man. I am going to be running almost the exact same setup with maybe a slightly bigger cam so this is great info. I would be very happy to put down those numbers Any chance you could post up your graph. I would love to see your torque curve. Thanks again!!!

and thats for everything:parts, gaskets, headers, x-pipe, intake, tb, lifters, push rods, pulley. Now if it was just for the H/C it would be: @ $1800-2000 and that would cover heads, cam, push rods, and all gaskets. Hope this helps.

These heads are very nice and consistenly make great power. It's hard to beat a head that is just under 200cc on the runner volume that still flows 300+ cfm. We have run these heads on cams of all sizes and they always product great power and torque. For a stock cube motor, they are probably one of the best heads on the market. As mentioned above, they just aren't as popular as some of the other PRC heads due to the added cost of an aftermarket casting. As mentioned above, a lot of people make a big deal about the port mis-match but the bottom line is, the heads flat out work. You can say what you want about air flow but the proof is in the numbers.

Not to hi-jack the thread, but Jon would these heads work well with the MS3? I know the MS3 is more of a top end cam, but can these heads help it retrieve a bit more power under the curve. With bolt ons and the MS3 cam (LS1 Intake as well) i put down 386rwhp and 367rwtrq, that was a full 40rwhp gain but only 7lb ft trq to the wheels. Can these heads give the MS3 the added air to perform better in the lower sections of the rpms, or do you recommend another set. Thanks

if it is than you could probably expect a little higher through an Fbody setup...probably easily 10-15 more hp and tq.
also...how much is a nitrous tune holding back your numbers compared to a non-nitrous tune? i would think a resonable amount.
on the ports mis-matching...i've seen this discussed on several heads. but several companies...either AFR, TFS or FAST themselves did some research and found the affects of that are minimal. you can always port the intake to match...at least the sides, not so much the bottom lip (don't want to touch the heads).

Car put down 471/440 because: Low timing, 110 degree heat, 91 octane gas and a fresh motor with 50+/- miles when it was dynoed. Also, it was dynoed with a fubar'd (HEAVY) LS7 clutch. So the car is capable, IMHO of 485/445
