Default cam questiong (yes, i'm sorry another cam question)

alright, tried a search and really didn't get the answers i was looking for. real quick before i get banned lol..

I want a cam that will get me close, or to the 400 mark.. without heads. I already have a low lift cam in their already and could buy 1.8 rockers to up the lift and possibly the power, but was more thinking just change the cam than spending more money. I have not yet tuned the car and got any dyno numbers so I have no clue what I am making now. I thought it would be best to ask more questions that spend more money down.

I have springs that are good to a .600 lift and was either thinking of the V.2 or the F13.

The cam in their already is a

Vinci 099 - DUR @ .050" 232*/ 240* LIFT .551/.551 OVERLAP 64* LSA 117*

Would the V.2 or the F13 be a good choice to get me to my goal... or is there something else out there for me that can again get me to my goal.

Thanks in advance and sorry for beating this cam thing to death.

Matt

You dont need rockers, you need springs. Have you looked into the T-Rex cam?

What kind of power are you making now? What is your complete combination?

if you want 400rwhp, then the cam you have right now will do that just fine, or get REAL close to it. Make sure you have all the boltons, then go get it dynotuned. How can you run a 232/240 cam in there and not have it tuned?? seriously lol...

I checked the website and I believe the v3 is a lot bigger and the v2 is the smaller one. I have not dynoed it with this new cam or tuned it. I just don't want to waste money on buyer rockers to up the lift and tuning if I could just buy another cam to make my goal. On motor right now it made 342 with the usually bolt ons. lt's, ls6 intake, p&p tb, lid, borla, ect.

You don't need some huge donkey dick cam just to hit 400rwhp cam only. I would say thats a fairly easy number to obtain with a M6.

thanks again guys for your imput.. I was trying to figure out what I should do. I have people that say pull it, others that say it will be fine you will get close to your goal. I got this cam for a pretty sweet deal..

I just didn't know if I should buy 1.8 rockers to up the lift.. and then tune. or tune it now and see where i'm at. or just get another cam and go from there. Thanks again for all your help. keep it coming though
