Default Anyone seen a 32V LSX head?

ARAO Engineering has just introduced the 32 valve LSX bolt on heads for the LS-2 and LS-7 motors. These heads are a direct bolt on and use all standard intake and exhaust manifolds, exhaust headers, pistons and standard camshafts. Compression ratios can be set by just flycutting the heads from 10:1 to 12:1. The valves are operated by the standard cams, lifters and pushrods. This is done through shaft mounted needle bearing rockers, that operate 2 valves with one rocker arm.

Old news, apparently this guy has been dicking people over for quite some time. There is a few guys here that are strongly opposed to him and his business.

If you had done a quick search, you would have realized that, indeed, a lot of us have seen these heads. Waste of time and money.

$8000 for heads or $8000 for a fully supported turbo or supercharger setup. hmmm ill take the forced induction.

i would like to see a face off of these heads vs ported ls7's on a dyno though. They claim pretty high flow numbers....

they are bull ****! A guy who came to our shop had a set of these on his small block chevy race car, they fell apart by the end of the race season. He ended up going to a set of AFR's and only lost 37 hp from the 4 valve heads. Its been three seasons and he hasnt had to touch his heads.

Pretty cool. But I'd rather run AFR's and make up for the rest with a small dry kit.

yeah this has been beat to death in another thread somewhere. overall the consensus was that the extra gain isnt worth the assload of money and complexity you have to deal with. if you are fckin loaded and want to try it, go for it.

In theroy had the motor not been LSX based and had crappy stock and even aftermarket flowing heads, it would maybe something to consider but in reality whats out there w/ 2 valves is still too much for stock and most of it was designed with aftermarket/larger cubic inches in mind
