Default sleeper cam W/ headers no cats and stock muffler

If I run the LT headers WO cats and a stock SS/Z28/WS6 muffler, How much cam can I use and still stay stealthy? I want an idle like stock and no lope, and no crazy lift like .595 . Doesn't need to make insane power, just around 375 or 380 rwhp. Cam and exhaust suggestions welcome.

Have you looked at MTI's new "stealth" cam?

I would ditch the stock cat back and get a SLP dual/dual if you want to sound stock like. The dual/dual is quieter than stock on a stock car. Warmed up my car is about as loud as my friends almost stock Firehawk with a Corsa. Used dual/duals are usually pretty cheap.

I'd use a TR220 114. .581 is too much lift IMO unless you are racing and don't mind replacing springs a lot. If you go with anyless duration than 220, the gain won't be worth all the trouble of installing the cam.

I'm using a MTI B1 cam, with SLP LT's , CATS, and the factory Dual/Dual. It is real stealthy, you can barely hear the cam, and it idles great. Idle is just a touch rougher than stock, but outside the car you can't tell. I don't know if removing the CATS will make it worse. I definately wouldn't use headers with the stock exhaust.

Removing the cats will increase the sound some but the dual/dual still does an excellent job of covering it up.

I have the 224/224 581/581 112 ls on my Vette with long tubes off road X-pipe and the stock catback and it is pretty stealthy till you mash on it.
