SES Light after missed shift
. I didn't go to second rather I just missed the gear and hit the rev limiter. Now the SES light is on and I have a ticking noise. I'm thinking some pushrods got bent but I'm not sure.pushrods can be bent with missed shifts for sure, not to hard to check for bent ones, pull the coil packs, valve covers, and rockers.

Not to insult you intelligence how long have you been driving for? how much mechanical knowledge do you have? The reason I ask is when I broke and bent my rods I had very little mechanicla know how and had just recently started driving. So I was not able to really detect a "miss" that should have been noticable. When the car was scanned it told a different story things were messed up. So do as suggested from others and have the codes read and go from there. Better pushrods are cheap insurance and really easy to install.
