i have a question. Why swap and ls1 for an ls2 when for the same amount the ls2 costs you, you can make way way over what the ls2 makes as far as hp and tq?

or did somoeone just give you an ls2, because if thats the case i would do the same

A 408 would be a direct swap and less money... Just a thought.

I will pm you. I offer a 408 or you could have your current LS1 rebuilt to a 347 for a little less depending on how the block and crank are.

There are options, we'll look at them and your budget and you can make a better informed decision.

I have been looking all over for an answer to the LS1 to LS2 swap and Ive finally found it (Hell Yeah) The 2006+ LS2 have the 58X reluctor wheel which cant be read by the factory LS1 PCM...........Unless you tear down the motor and change the reluctor wheel on the crank, OR you could do it the cheap and easy way and go to our good friend LINGENFELTER and spend around $250 bucks and get a Reluctor Wheel Conversion Module the Plugs directly into you Wiring Harness and wala, your LS1 can now read the 58X reluctor wheel. 2005 and earlier model LS2 should already have the 24X reluctor wheel and you should be able to switch them without having the module or any other problems exept the Knock Sensor & Cam Sensor Extensions if I understand correctly.

no you cant mod for mod the ls2 will have more power for a n/a motor the stock cube ls1 will be limited to a max of 500rwhp and ls2 im not sure but i do know its alot higher then 500rwhp. throw forced induction with a stock bottom end ls2 will still hold more power. forged internal in theory the ls2 should be able to make more power but you will lift the heads be for you could see the advantages in hp wise. remember more cubes more torque and more bottom end torque also.

more cubes dosnt make more power, it gives you space to fill with more air and fuel to make more power
