Default about to have a h/c car

About to have a set of patriot 5.3 stage two's and a lunati 224/224 .560/.560 on 112. I know I'm taking the road less traveled but then again I don't like to be just like other people. And if all this pride fails miserably I can always go back and go bigger and better. My question is what cr shoul I try for?

I agree. Right in that neighborhood. I have a set of AS SII's unmilled. It's good insurance to me on the P/V. Good luck with your setup. With full bolt ons I guesstimate 380-390 RWHP if it is a a4 maybe 400 with an m6

Hopefully your car is descently light and you get some good traction n/a. If your spraying that time is no obsticle. I run 7.6's now but my race weight is an ungodly 3800 if not more with me in it. That is on Nittos as well. Cutting 1.8 and 1.9 60's that suck.

11:1 is a good compression ratio.

many guys/gals are running 7.3's with just a cam. Normaly heads/cam should get you 6.9-7.3's though Ive been 7.30 with just the 224/224 cam and stock heads untuned. Im hoping for 6.99-7.1's with the heads I have now

but they gotta mill the 5.3 heads by .015 usually to get 11:1

SRP checked my TEA 5.3's compression was a little over 11 to 1. The heads had been milled ~.020+

Usually a porter will open up the chambers a little to unshroud the valves etc and this will reduce compression a little on the 5.3's also valve selection can move the compression ~.1 or so depending on if the valve is dished or not.
