Forged 347 Oil Pressure
#21
EPP installed oil pump and cam along with the rest of the shortblock.....
I installed pick-up, and pan and had to remove entire motor to fix everything before initial start up
also why does one bearing look more destroyed then the rest of them......if it was starved of oil I would think all would be destroyed

The motor was never started without the o-ring. It was turned over with the starter motor without injectors or coils hooked up to prime it. It would not prime (no o-ring). The o ring was installed and the clearance between the pickup and pan was checked. The engine was primed again and then started. The owner was very meticulous with everything, as can be seen when looking at how NICE and clean he has done all of his work.
What else was hurt besides the main bearings?

We'll have to replace the crank or get it turned, we'll probably replace it. We'll install a new oil pump and new lifters, as we don't want to take a chance as debris could be in them. Everything else looks good, pistons are okay, cylinder walls are good, etc. Bob

Excellent customer service like this is why I continually send my own customers to them for ATI parts, rears, rotating assemblies and more on a regular basis.
