checker valve springs
Tonight I stopped by Autozone and Advanced quick before they closed. I asked both stores if they had light checker valve springs and they both looked at me like . Then I was like . I explained them being used for checking P/V clearance, rocker wipe, etc. They still were like Am I not saying something right? I can't believe a parts store doesn't carry something so "elementary." O'reilly's was already closed tonight... maybe they will have a clue. I was kinda wanting them for this weekend so I was hoping they would have them.

Another option if you strike out, try a hardware store. They usually have a spring assortment. They are just light springs of a diameter that will fit the retainer and seat, nothing magic.

I read another post which talked about shimming rockers for wipe pattern using test springs. Should this be done with stock rockers?
