i know im a newb it happens when your into something new every couple years.

quick question about the ls6 heads. i can pop the PRC springs on there with stock valves, retainers, and locks right? or do some of those come with spring kits?

Get a spring kit, it will come with new (larger) titanium retainers and new locks, and possibly new valve seals. But yeah, you keep the same valves. If you're lucky, you might find a good deal on a pair of low mile 243's already assembled w/ dual springs. I have seen it a few times for ~$500. Keep your eye out.

by PRC you mean the patriot dual spring kit thats around $255

Those will work as well, I believe PRC = Precision Racing Company. But any dual springs rated for .660" lift should work, I forgot what the max lift on the MS4 was, but I think its ~.650" lift.

ok. idk if im gonna go with the ms3 yet or ms4. im still doing research as we speak. im gonna order new ls6 heads from gm tommorrow along with the ls7 clutch and maybe even the cam but i dont think i have enough money yet for the cam

A4 means you have a 4-speed automatic transmission...M6 means you have a manual 6-speed transmission...

sorry im a newb. idk what the motor came with stock but i will be putting on a manual tranny when its done

would i need ls7 lifters because theyre cheap and i dont want my valvetrain to sound like a sewing machine? and i decided to go with the ms3 cam

New lifters falls into the same category as a ported LS6 oil pump and a LS2 timing chain. Do you absolutely have to have it...no, but its good insurance and if the engine is going to be open anyway, might as well do it for peace of mind.
