Yeah, the GMPP has been out for awhile, and in fact 3timeracin had one, and so did I. I sold mine and I believe 3timeracin did as well, and I am having a sheetmetal intake made up. But it would be nice to have the Victor series for the classes that mandate cast intakes. The GMPP intake is an OK piece for moderate power levels, but when you start leaning in the upper levels of HP, it will require too much work to justify using it.

I understand that. I'm leaning toward sheetmetal too, but if I can't make that 3 axis mill in my garage run (been trying for a while now), I'm going to have to go another route. I was curious as to what kind of performance these things offer, and now I know. Thanks for the heads up!

That is pretty cool with the sled pulling! Even though I drive a Cummins, I like the fact you are doing something different and kickn *** with the gasser!

got it....thanks Richard. I'll post up some pics side by side with the GMPP intake ASAP. Highlights....won't need (read..can't use) anymore carb spacer. Its exactly 1" taller than the GMPP intake. It also uses the factory o ring intake gaskets. Looks to be very closely matched to my cnc'd L92's as far as runner matching. Overall I'm very pleased and can't wait to hit the 1320.

Nice side by side pics! Besides the height, they really demonstrate the runner length difference between the two intakes. This is an outstanding comparison. The Vic Jr. should really help torque across the rpm range over the GMPP.
I'm in the middle of flow bench testing ports on the new Vic Jr. intake and will post up the results in the next few days.
Good luck at the track and please post up your impressions of the new intake.
Thanks,
Richard

Results from the track! WITHOUT cleaning up the Vic Jr and just bolting it on we went from 10.33@129 to 10.18@132. That was a gain of 15 numbers and 3 mph. The manifold need some work to the runners and removal of the injector bung, but we didn't receive the manifold until later in the day Friday.
