Thumbs up Magnaflow catback installed 416 stroker

I swapped out my Corsa catback for a Magnaflow tonight and wow what a difference. The Corsa was really loud and a bit harsh with my 416 stroker. The magnaflow tamed it down and has a much more refined sound. My car is a pleasure to drive once again. I love it. I will take a vid tomorrow and post the difference between the two. I don't know how many hp I am losing with this setup but I plan on adding some DMH Low Profile cutouts in the Y-Pipe very soon for the track.

I am going up to my shop now to take a quick clip. Just get the Magnaflow and be done... Sounds way better. I liked my Corsa when it was mostly stock and heads/cam. With a High compression stroker... forget it...

I have a magnaflow on my GTO and I'm building a 416 right now. Is yours a 2.5"?

I gotta say that Corsa looked and sounded like ****. And what's up with all the smoke coming out? Not sure if it's anything significant.....however I can see the car torque when you rev it with the magnaflow. I can't see it torque when you rev it with the corsa.

I have made good tq with my car using the magnaflow and plan to use it with the 416. I'm not sure how much if any hp I'll be losing with the 2.5" but I'll see in a few weeks.

The smoke was steam from condensation for being 25 degrees outside, the garage door was open. The Magnaflow is a 3" system into a single muffler out to two 2.5" tailpipes.

What is the setup of the Corsa exhaust? Is it 3" and two 3" out, or the same as the magnaflow? Reason why I ask is my flowmaster 80 series is 3" in and 2.5" out. Don't like it so much.

Sounds way better with the magnaflow. I had that on my 2000 Z, but with no headers..

Now thinking of doing the same thing you did. Just wondering if there is a sound advantage of having the cats.

Both of your videos had the Y with cats?

Is that the one for $705?

I've been looking for the best price on that setup.
