Default Sound clips Magnaflow vs Corsa Catbacks 416 Stroker

Car has a 416 Stroker, Kook's 1 7/8" headers, Kook's 3" catted Y-pipe. First video is with the Corsa 2nd video is with the Magnaflow... HUGE sound difference. Also I noticed that with the Corsa the amount of exhaust was equal out of both tail pipes but with the Magnaflow, the majority of exhaust came out the drivers side and when you rev it, they become more equal. Anybody else notice that???

It's common for the Magnaflow to show uneven flow at idle. It's just the way the exhaust is split inside the muffler.

My Goodness man,
Both of those systems sound great on your car. Yes I did notice that one side of the Magnaflow was more noticable than the other. IMHO, the Magnaflow sounds a little more deeper and refined between the two. The Magnaflow's tips look better as well. The Corsa sounds down right nasty in a good way .
I like the Corsa better. You have an great looking/sounding car. Have fun with it.

The corsa sounded much louder than the magnaflow. What were the setups for each and which one made more power? How was drone inside the car between the two exhausts, and which one did you end up liking more?

good comparison
I'm more partial to the Magnaflow with the subtle/deeper tone

I am not sure which one made more power. I just finished the motor in the car a few weeks ago and installed the Corsa since I had it. It was just a little to loud for my taste. There is no drone with either of these setups and both sound really good but different. The Corsa is raw and in your face. The Magnaflow is more refined, quieter and deeper. I used to have true duals with magnaflow 4x9's with my 408 but I hated the way it looked and the lack of ground clearance. It sounded great and made big power though. I only have 40 miles on this motor so I want to break it in a bit before putting it on the rollers. I will be adding dual cutouts in the y-pipe for max hp but I will be able to see how much the a catback hurts bigger cubic inch motors. I will try and get it on the rollers sometime in April. Oh, I like the Magnaflow more...

I think the Corsa sounds good, but I would probably stick with the Magnaflow since it isn't as loud....

That Corsa would be an auto state ref here n California. Gotta love it.....I think you made the right choice by going to the Magnaflow

Those were the corsa tips, looks like he cleaned them before putting in the magna.

I expect the guys with magnaflow will like the magnaflow and the people with corsa will say the corsa to justify the CB they bought. I heard two nice setups one loud and one much quieter. I would have stuck a bullet on the corsa to tone it down, always wondered what it would sound like.

April has come and gone, updates?

I like how both sounded. I'd go for the quieter magnaflow personally, but man does that Corsa make the car sound wicked!

Weather has been pretty crappy out. I am very happy with the Magnaflow, don't get me wrong I liked the Corsa but it was a bit too much with this setup. I still only have 250 miles on the new motor so soon as the rain lets up I will put some more miles on it. I still need to get the dual cutouts then I will get it dynoed...

My Magnaflow is the same way...its the way the baffles are lined up inside. Whatever it is, is sounds alot better than my SLP LM1.

i had a magnaflow cat back on when i had the stock engine, it sounded good, quiet when i wanted and loud enough, but it had a terrible interior drone at 75-80. Got a used borla catback. Awesome with elec cutout and stock motor, just a little freaking loud with the 402. Maybe i will go back to magnaflow.

I dont' have either, and I think that the magnaflow sounds better. Corsa is to raspy. Good choice.
