Default Camming an LS2: stock 243 vs stock 823 / L92 heads

I've asked this in another form in another section but I think I just wasn't being specific enough and was in the wrong section. So I'm going to be more specific here in hopes of more specific answers.

I'm going to cam my stock LS2. I have the stock 243 heads and also new stock complete 823 heads. I wouldn't spend the money on porting even if I had it, just dollars/hp gain its not worth it to me. That being the case, which head would you use?

Probably going to run a carb intake.

Do you already have the cam? PTV will be worse with the L92s, but I'd run those if not a concern as they'll make more power.

Where do you start to see the improvement in power L92 vs 243 only in the top end under WOT or earlier on where it would benefit a DD

It really depends on the combo.

Why a carb intake with such a small cam?

Because I hate fuel injection and the motor will be run exclusively on propane, which uses a carb. Driveability is not a top priority for me. Do you think I should go with a bigger cam? Maybe a stage 2?

I asked because the carb intake doesn't promote low end torque and is usually used in conjuction with a big cam for top end gains 7k+ rpm, not sure what you plan on shifting at though.

I'm not particularly after low end torque, moreso just an even torque curve and more power. How "big" the cam is matters not to me, just looking for some more power as I make the switch to propane. If I was sacrificing 50hp below 3000 rpm for 50 in the top, it wouldn't be worth it. But if I could loose 20 below 3000 to gain 80+ above that would be fine. The dual quad intake is mandatory.

So it's a dual plane low rise intake? What do you plan on spinning it to?
