Default Need opinions on PCV setup on 2 cars - NO CATCH CAN

Hi, I have 2 cars I'm messing around with after doing supercharger installs on both. Can ya'll critique how I have them setup? I know this topic has been discussed a ton, but I can't find any diagrams that do not use a catch can.

Later LS engines have a small, metered orifice on one of the valve cover nipples that slows flow enough not to need a PCV valve.

In that case, looks like I'm good to go on both setups. Only thing I get confusion on is, is it okay for the throttle body to be pulling in un metered air (after MAF)

.
.
On a supercharger installation, a CATCH can will do you more good than a MAF.

Dorman sells an updated driver side valve cover with metered orifice.

My gen 3 LQ4 that's been totally rebuilt with LS3 heads/ intake has the LQ4 drivers side valve cover with the small orfice PCV valve in it

I had to get a LS3 valve cover for the passenger side because of the offset LS3 rockers interfering with the baffle from the cathedral port heads.

You can see the drivers side at the back where the valve is. Been fine for 2.5 years with no gunk inside the intake.

Here is a photo of the valley cover orifice. It is about .100 inches.

.100" orifice will pass a LOT of un-metered air at idle.
I think a MAF operating system will have trouble maintaining consistent return to idle, hanging high idle, and some driveablity issues that will be hard to resolve.
Neither of your drawings looked like ideal set-ups.
I would SIMPLY: leave passenger side pulling metered ( MAF) air IN to throttle body, and install ANY kind of "CAN" in the PCV line on driver side, between rocker cover and full manifold vacuum port.
.
Catch Can can be as simple as a 750ml or Liter metal CAN, with two ports and a drain valve. I built a catch can out of a stainless steel 750ml Vodka bottle, used the CAP at bottom to drain the oil, rolled up a thin bit of window screen, stuffed in can for "baffle" typically collects about a shot glass of pretty clean, slightly moist oil after 4000 mile oil change interval.
