What were your gains on the LS1 style billet over a LS6 or FAST 90/90 on a 427? Do you have any dyno sheets?

Since LPE now makes a 100mm MAF, it goes to reason that the next restriction on the path of the air to the intake is the TB. Does anyone make a compatable LSx TB bigger than 90mm, and if so, does Wilson make that intake to take the larger TB?
I've heard several times that N/A power is restricted by the 90mm intake components.

I've thought about that, too. Never heard of a LS* engine with a 100mm, but they are made.

I think you are doing great service for all of us.I highly appreciate it and if i ever need something for my current LS6 or future engine will ask you too.

What about heat issues? Stock LS7 intake dont store much heat because it dont have much of mass and its plastic. But wilson manifold is sheetmetal and billet aluminium wich stores heat ??

It's made in Thailand, of all places. They have tps fittings that work with japanese engines, and Fords. But it could be made to work with GM's. If you Google "100mm throttlebody" you can find it.

I don't have any Dyno sheets, but typical gains with the right parts that allow you to take advantage of the billet intake are around 75 HP over the F/X intake. The plastic intakes are flat @ around 6000/6500 RPM. <(My applications) The billet intakes will make peak HP with the same cam/heads @ 7200/7400 RPM... So for my customers the extra 75HP for $3000.00 is worth it to them... Others might not agree.

I have the luxury of tying these intakes on several different styles of engines and head combinations. 402/427/443 with ET heads, ALL PRO heads and Elderbrock Pro Port heads so I see what these intakes like. The LS engine is not a "small block chevy"... If you treat it like one you you'll get nowhere near what you're looking for out of it.

Keep on noticing posts of people proclaiming the virtues of sheet metal intakes, and that a dyno comparison between them and a composite intake will be done.

And again, weeks/months later nothing.

I'm almost convinced these sheet metal intakes are not what people claim them to be.

I think some people are just waiting for the intakes to be done.

If Wilson makes one for the L92's at a decent price point with runners in the 7-8 inch range they will sell more than they can possibly make.
