It was Clutchmasters! LOL They had a working relationship with Quarter Master back then. When Mark Magnuson was sponsored by Quarter Master.

Where are you working now?

Default Parts of the kit with more detail

LS7 controller and harness kit - Part number 19166567
LS2 controller and harness kit - Part number 19166568
(LS7 and LS2 kits are identical except the controllers)

LS3 controller and harness kit - Part number 19201861
(LS3 has its own harness and controller)

All kits include the following:
Controller*
Engine Harness
Mass Air Flow Meter - same as factory LS7 and others
Mass Air Flow Meter Mounting Boss
Accelerator Pedal Assembly - CTS pedal with sensor
Oxygen Sensor (Qty 2 Per Kit) - same as LS3 LS7
Oxygen Sensor Mounting Boss (Qty 2 Per Kit)
Instruction Kit

* Note - This controller will not function in a production vehicle unless all kit components are used and will not operate production gauges.

So the question still remains whether this controller can be tuned with HP Tuners or EFI Live. Obviously these harnesses are designed for people that are swapping these engines into older vehicles. Perfect!

According to a very reliable source you can reflash the controllers in these kits. They are based off a production PCM, not locked. GM does not make any claims to this so they can not be held responsible for damage caused by someone reprogramming. This is no different than a production car that you are tuning.

They are just preprogrammed with the data needed for the particular crate engine that they are designed for, that is why there is a different part number for each engine package.

Does this harness have cruise control capabilities. I don't see why not, since it has input from the VSS and its drive by wire. Robin?

Default ls2 with 6speed

I am very new to this LS stuff. So I really need some direction. I just picked up a Ls2 with the 6speed trans out of an 06 GTO. i did get the original engine harness and gas pedal.hijack: It is going to put into a 68 Firebird. Am I correct in assuming the GM kit does not come with wiring for the trans. If not what do I need to do. thanks

I believe this harness has the wiring for the manual trans.

The normal CTSV ECU will ot work with this harness. There are things relating to security systems that are not in this unit. Also this unit is intended for non catted applications. Street Rods or pre 79 cars using a crate engine.
This ECU cannot be used in a CTSV.

Robin
so the harness wont work with say a 1988 s10

I think they have to say that for government regulations. You have to read between the lines.

Let us know if you are successful. If you are swapping in an LS1, why are you using one of these harnesses with the drive by wire throttle body, and 58 tooth trigger wheel?
