Is it just me, or is the top of the intake flexing under load? Is there anyway to prevent this (braces or such). Definitely a Kick-*** piece either way.

Sorry guys, havent been on the forum for a bit. Have made some minor changes to the intake in the last couple of months.

The plenum top is now reinforced and bonded to the top of the runners (flex was under vacuum). This increases the total rigidity and also reduces intake noise. The runners are also a fraction shorter.

FYI. The intake is about 1kg lighter than stock.

Hello lads,
I am a reasonably new member here and just stumbled on this thread.
I am the current test mule for this intake.
Been currently doing the testing and slight modifying in conjunction with jamie and chev's performance here in Australia.
In total support of jamie and his dream to produce an awsome inlet manifold.
I can say first hand that this CF manifold is amazing.I will not disclose too much information as i will leave that till testing complete and let jamie do the honours.
My L98 in my VE SSV UTE has been highly modified and with the help of this inlet manifold we are expecting big HP numbers from a N/A only engine.
My camshaft which is a comp grind 238/240 .609" @ .050" 112 LSA absolutely becomes aggressive as hell with this inlet on. Without it she tames down imediately.
The results will be completed in the next weeks so i assume with interest jamie will post them.
All in all i wanted to re assure all that is interested or followed the progression on this manifold that $3000 for the price would be IMO a reasonable price for the difference it makes at the higher end of the HP N/A scale.

Thanks for all your hard work in giving me the chance to test something different jamie.
Cheers,
Andy.

The whole design is killer! i can see loads of these being sold just for the "ahh factor"

Looks pretty cool.........but $3,000...uh...not gonna sell unless you can pick up 30hp over a FAST. Throw a little extra money in and you can have an ITB intake to make 60hp over a FAST.

Sorry lads , reading back i noticed a rough estimate of $3000 mentioned but this is not a definate price so if my post has made you think that price please dont. Jamie has not mentioned any dollar value on this manifold to me yet so i would assume he is still in pricing stage be it what it is. Im sure once proof of improvements made by this manifold you will all make up your mind to wether it is worth its weight or not.
It looks absolutely awsome on the engine but now opens doors to need CF rocker covers to match. Who will make them affordable.
I believe that the lads who really know their stuff and after seeing the results of this manifold will make up their own mind to what price they would be willing to pay.
Sorry again if i have mislead anyone on the price but all done in good spirit and for the faith in this manifold.
Cheers,
Andy.

Yeah...that's why I want to make sure of the price. So the $2000 US dollar price is correct? I do like the intake manifold, without a doubt! I'd be willing to pay 2 g's for it...just for the "wow" factor. Realistically though, I can't justify spending that for an intake unless the performance was proved! What are the horsepower gains vs. a L92 4-bbl style intake? Lets talk proof!

This is a bad-*** intake, no doubt! But it all comes down to dyno and or track testing. Keep us posted please...

Thanks

why do you keep tryin to pimp the harrop stuff? what vested interest do you have in them? anytime someone asks about a manifold EVEN LS6 you say go with the harrop and how you have some avail. idk if you are a sponsor, but really...what is your angle. and dont just say that you are promoting them because they are a good idea. you are nutswinging EXTREMELY hard for just a person that likes them.
