The goal is to not have the heads drop off at .700... If we can keep the same flow through .700 - .750 lift, we will be ecstatic. These numbers are with a 4.125 bore plate on the intake
nice.

I didn't realize it was worth while to have additional work done on the trickflow heads?

Curious:

I know there's quite a few 600+ RWHP C6 Z06's, after head porting, cam and exhaust and tune. At least around here there are.

How many 427's are out there, if any, that are using TFS 235 heads, and making 600+ RWHP?

Pump gas, comparable compression and cams, M6's.

keep in mind the c6 z's have a dry sump, ti rods and cast pistons which is worth hp...my guess is 20ish.

its been proven that the tfs 235's make more avg power in a 7k and below setup. there are dyno results from back to back dyno runs on this forum.

If you have a C6Z you already have LS7 heads, so it might not be worth it to switch. Since I was starting from scratch I couldn't see any reason to build a 427. A lot of people are building 454's now, I went with a 440. There may not be that many 427's with TFS heads period.

My combo is 1 1/2 years old, but thats what all the places I called recommended to reach 600rwhp, and I thought the LS7 heads were the way to go.

This from earlier on this thread:
From: Ron at Vengence racing:We have built both of these combos and the TFS headed 440 make ALOT of USABLE power under the curve and STILL peak over 600rwhp with all supporting bolt ons.. At about 620rwhp the FAST 92 seems to become a restriction with MAP readings dropping to 94KPA around 4500rpm....LS7 heads are a good choice for a RACE motor that isnt driven on the street, but for USABLE power without spinning to the moon the TrickFlows are the ticket HANDS DOWN...

From: Racer7088: which is HKE ) The main advantage to the bigger LS7 type stuff is that a much smaller cam can be used. Too Big a Cam with these heads and the TFS can easily be better. Not sure on exactly how that one test was done but I know the larger heads can use a smaller cam and still make really high power.( I helped do an LS7-type deal that is making basically 600 rwhp with only a 230 at .050 cam so I have not seen that so far on anything else...) That wasn't with the actual (OEM LS7)heads though and bang for the buck the TFS cathedral port heads are great. We have another car running in the 9.3xs already on pump gas and with hydraulic roller with them (TFS 235s but of course much bigger cam)!!!

Lil John: LS7 heads ask for more air flow and the stock or Fast intake, even ported will not be able to supply enough air to match heads.I think that the TFS 235 heads with a FAST 102 would be great, and then have both ported.Yet you could do like Racer 7088 said and go with LS7 heads with smaller cam. It's hard to pick, when both do so well with the right cam choice.
