ive been looking at your g6x3 cam to use in my l92 motor, it has the stock valve relieved pistons, but im wanting to bump my compression to atleast 11 to 1... since you guys dont post specs i was just wondering if i would have ptv clearance issues.

thats where im confused, its got two reliefs per piston, but there on opposing sides of the piston, like not side by side, you might be right that only the exhaust side is on the right part, but why put that other relief on it in the wrong spot? i wish i had photobucket to show you guys.

oh ok that makes sense, so i searched valve drop and all that came up is droped valves. im deffinetly no engine builder so dont bash, im having this stuff profesionally done, but when you say 210 thou of valve drop do you mean a 210 thousandth relief cut in right? and is that after i milled the heads to get 11 to 1 or is that at stock 10.5-1

With the head bolted on the car ( With the gasket, for mock up purposes) the intake valve needs .210" of room before it hits the piston. Its called "Valve Drop". Its the basic measurement you need when checking Piston to valve clearance roughly. Obviously, claying or dial indicating it is the right way to do it, but I have done so many of these setups, I know what number to be at
