Not trying to hijack the thread, but I was just on GM Performance webpage, put the Tall Deck LSX block in the cart with a dealer local to me, and said its available within 5-7 days. Is the tall deck shipping now?

LPE has the 58x to 24x conversion module, which solves most of the headaches. You will also need some sensor harness extensions and injector plug adapters. If you go LSA, then you don't have to worry about dry sump issues/relocation, etc. GMHTP has an LS3 swap with all the details, the LSA would be the same. Make sure you have a good fuel pump. Should make for a wicked swap with factory reliability if you do the details properly.

The only unknown I can think of is the TB. Is the DBW required for the LSA? If so, this may be the only issue. With the LS3, you won't need it once you swap to a cable TB.

Any modification to the engine at all will void the warranty, you definitely can not mod the blower. The warranty can be covered by your local dealer as well, so you don't have to ship parts out and wait.

So you could drop this thing into your f-body, and if something breaks with it, they will cover warranty as long as nothing on the motor has been taken off/modified?

Thanx!

It's the LS7 pump, so it's available.

i dont think the lsa will work in a f-body. the intake port is sat at a angle.

onely the ls9 will work.

dutchman. just wondering but is there a part number and price on the lsa?
and do you have cam specs on either of the mtors(ls9 or lsa)?

I was under the impression that the LS9 oil pump was of higher capacity to make up for the pressure/flow lost due to the oil squirters, and would have a different part number.

As stated the LS7 Pump is the same as the LS9 part # 12623097. It would be a 3-5 item from me. It is coming out of my Willow Run Parts plant.

What's the difference between the LS3, LSA, LS9 blocks besides the piston squirters? Can the piston squirters be easily added to the LS3 block?

I guess I should have asked this earlier but seems there are more than one post about this.
LSA vs ZR1 blowers and misc stuff?
were the numbers listed for the ZR1 or the LSa?

is there anyway to see the break down of the LSa blower/misc parts?

TIA

Does this mean the LSA will be about the same price as the LS7? If so, I would consider the LSA to be much better value than the LS7.
