Default Which morel lifter?

Can someone please give me a part # or link to the morel lifters most are using? I'm wanting to get away from the factory buckets and go to a tie bar. There seem to be a few different choices and finding concrete info on any one particular morel lifter seems to be like finding a needle in a haystack. Thanks...

Morels part number is different though, dont want to mislead you. They have a few types of the upper end hydraulic lifters as well so it all depends on what you want. The Morel most used is the one in the link but they also have a hi rpm use hydraulic one as well for about $150 more. Same drop in but the body is thicker walled for susutained hi rpms, and they also come in a limited travel as well.

Great lifter n quite. Only disadvantage is that we won't be able to rotate the cam n let the lifters stick up in their trays (Buckets).

Thanks a million for the info. This was exactly what I was looking for. I was aware btw that there were different morel options. This was part of what was causing the confusion...

thats true, but is it not possible to slowly rotate the cam and insert the rods into the block to retain the lifters?

im not 100% it will work with the Morels is why I was asking. but basicly you insert a 5/16 dowel rod into the front of the block in each of the two small holes on either side of the cam. it is a good idea to use this method of lifters retention even with stock lifters since it provides a positive stop rather then just praying that the lifter cups still fit tight enough to hold them up.

A search of "JPR Tool" or "dowel rod" should give you much more info.

here's a link with pics of a homemade tool vettenuts made.
