I noticed yesterday when I was going to work that I only had about 20lbs of oil pressure. When before WOT tuning and everything I was running about 60lbs. I dropped the oil pan last night and replaced the o-ring in the pickup tube and was told to double gasket it to ensure it wouldnt leak but that didnt fix it same exact pressure. Verified with manual guage that the cluster was correct. I guess tonight will take apart oil pump and look into that, any other ideas or suggestions on what could be causing this?
Thanks

My ls7 has similar oil pressure, not quite as low but around 30-35 at hot idle. I was also worried about this, but the builders out at tsp said that 25 at hot idle is usually what they see, as long as you have 60-70 in the high rpm range then you are fine. What weight of oil are you running, and what part of the country.

Well I found my problem AMS builds crappy shortblocks. At 700 miles with no runs or racing just daily driving to break it in a cam bearing spun, rod and main bearings are shot and even though I have a warranty on it they say its not covered because it must have been tuned too rich and that would in turn make the oil a non lubricating substance. Do you know how rich it would have to be to do that. My tuner knows what he is doing and I have all my log sheets. I would highly recommend you never buy anything from AMS RACING. Its probably going to end in a nasty court battle because im not paying for something when they should admit their mistake and fix it. Running 20w50 royal purple oil im on the eastern side of the country in WV
