Default ls2 swap complete half motor not firing !?

just finished my swap, all sensors are plugged and all grounds are grounded properly. however the passenger side is not firing. the manifolds are cool to the touch still. checked the hot wires on the coil packs and they are getting their 12 volt reference. kinda baffled right now....

also injectors are firing on that side, just not getting spark

Did you switch the two outer wires on the cam sensor harness

There is a 5 or 6 pin connector near the MAF connector that has 5 wires in it. One of the wires is used to supply 12V to the coils on one bank. I believe one of the other wires is 12V for the MAF or reverse lockout.

You can run a continuity check to verify which wire is for the coils.

Kinda sounds like you have the coils on backwards, I know of people who have done this. Like #7 on #1, #5 on #3, etc.

Happened to me on a swap once. Either suggestion could be the culprit though.

A forum member told me he had the same problem...and it was because the reluctor wheel was installed backwards?

Yes you can by putting the harness on wrong.

Depending on what car this was swapped into, and whether or not the harness was reworked to accommodate for it, he could not be getting switched 12v to the pink wire that should go to the coilpacks. I know several years back, when we attempted to rewire our own LS1 harnesses to interface with our RX-7's, we had only brought 12v to one side of the coilpacks, so only 4 cyl were properly firing. We then put power to that side of the packs and boom, ran like a champ
