Well Im looking into getting this 457 or the 460 long block from HKE, cc performance..I think that the price is pretty fair for what you get.. well I was just wanting some feed back (neg or pos) if anyone had purchased this combo from them.. thanks

He is building my 454. Just waiting on money from me, to afford the top end.
I was pretty set on the LSX block, when i ordered mine.
But i wish i had looked into ERL or some of the other, not saying that i wouldve for sure changed my mind.
But there are ALOT of options out there.

Thanks for all the replys.. I have heard nothing bad about them.. But i was more concerned with there 457/460 set up.. for the price I think that the complete set up is not that bad. What do you guys think.. ??? I really hate piecing things together, and this would be alot e-z-r.. I started off wanting the 434 short block but then I would need heads cam intake ect. and sence this is going into my fox body coupe mustang im starting from scratch. Just wanted opinions. thanks

Anyone ever thought of doing a ERL prepped block (sleeved) built by HKE? Ive been thinking about going that route.
FWIW if I buy a built short block from a sponsor HKE is my #1 choice. Good friend of mine runs 9s N/A with one of their 427s. EXTREMELY consistant and well built motor.

Erik has always been good to work with. He is one of our dealers so if you want to get one of our ERL prepped blocks through Erik just give him a ring at 713-722-7000 or erik@hkracingengines.com. If you can't seem to get ahold of him just contact me and I'll get you hooked up.
