Default Looking into LSX

Hey guys,
I'm starting to save up for an LSX setup. I want to NA for the next 2 years or so. If you're running LSX 427ci, and your NA, what crank, rods, heads, cam etc, did you go with? And how do you like your setup?

Damn, I'd think a lot of people on Tech would be tuned into any thread with the letters LSX in it...

Run a 4 inch Callies crank, 6.125 Compstar rods, pretty much all pistons manufactures have good pistons, 11.5-11.8 SCR and 8.5-9.0 DCR, Lots of good heads out there, you don't need 6 bolt heads for staying N/A.

Good advice.

When you say NA for 2 years, are you planning on spraying it then or going FI??

Big difference

To be honest, I dont know why you would want to run an LSX based 427 NA over an LS2/LS3 based 402/416. The difference in weight, cost, and availability is relevant. In NA form, the aluminum blocks are just fine for strength and what you gain in bore HP (LSX), can be very close to equalized with the right head/cam/intake setup on the factory aluminum blocks.

I have the same shortblock trc88taWS6 has with older TEA stage III 317 head for big bore motors, Smallish cam and still run the MAF. It drives like a mid 230's cam in a 346 car. I have an extremely mild build through the SLP Dual dual exhast pulled numbers in the sig on a mustang dyno through a 9 inch.
