Project: Getting Stroked ;)
So my LS2 GTO was procharged and made good power (520rwhp, 460rwtrq), but I just was never happy with the setup and always wanted to go N/A with a car for once. Well luck came though and there was a fellow GTO guy selling his 403 that was in the process of getting built so I jumped on it because it was a awesome deal for something brand new and also to have a motor built by a great shop, AES. Here are the specs on the motor:
LS2 Block
Callies LSX Crankshaft 4.000" Stroke
Callies LSX Connecting Rods 6.125: I Beam
Diamond LS2/L92 4.005" Pistons -2.00cc Valve Relief
Total Seal 4.000+.005 Plasma Moly Ring Set
Arp Main Stud Kit
LS7 Lifters
JP Double Row Timing Set
Powerbond UDP Pulley
LS6 Ported Oil Pump
AES Ported LS3 Heads (With All The Upgrades )
CSP Ported LS3 Intake
CSP Ported LS2 TB
LS3 40lb Injectors
MSD Plug Wires
160 T-Stat
Hardcore Intake or Vararam Intake (Still Deciding)
MAF Delete (SD Tune)
Yank PT4000 Converter
Hayden Tranny Cooler
Only thing is still debating on cam. The two cam choices are:
240/252 .649/.624 112+2 or 251/259 .624/.624 112+2
The bigger one will be alittle harder to drive on the street, but I have seen some awesome results from it used in acouple different stroker setups. Anything you guys see that I might need? Will do 102mm intake and tb later down the road because I want to have extra money on hand just incase the tranny goes, then its time to switch to a TH400 or a really good built 4L65e.

The only things I noticed you should look at are the lifters. Get a set of morels.
And if you already have the LS3 intake ported then there's no point in getting the 102 since they flow roughly the same and you'd only pick up a couple hp. Also definitely get a deeper trans pan and a shift kit installed to help keep your stock trans going till you get a built one.
I'm not too sure about you're two cam choices. What made you pick those?

You don't need to rev a 402 to 7500rpm to make great power. Remember that the LS7 is rated at 505hp at 7000rpm, so the lifters are good for at least that, and at around $125 for a set that's about 25% of the cost of a set of Morels, pretty good bang for the buck IMO.
To the OP, looks like a stout combo and should make great power. Please keep us updated as you get this together!

And by no means am I saying the LS7 lifters are crap but with the OP's build he is past what they can handle.

VA Speed picked up around 35HP with the FAST on my 427.
No offense Worshipper but sometimes I wonder where people get their information or if they are just repeating something they read. This is a special day on LS1tech. Of the 5 or 6 threads I read there was misinformation on 4 of them. People really need to be careful where they get there information. Everything you read on the internet is not gospel.
