Because things dont happen in the real world like they do on Overhaulin
So true John. I recently put and ls2 block and l92 heads I got from you guys together this month. It was a collection of used internet parts and new stuff where necessary. It turned out awesome. The parts were collected over the last couple of years with no for sure final direction. Sometimes these projects come together better when we do not push so hard to finish them.

Ok well so far the 10 bolt is holding up pretty good. Ok guys I got my car tuned but the dyno numbers aint solid yet cause the tuner held back on the advance timing. More on that later. However, he did give more parameters for me to tweak. So me and my friend adjusted the timing after talking to John and a few others. I tell you right now, no BS, my car pulls alot harder than it did on the dyno though the tires kept breaking loose on the rollers. So we called the tuner back and explained that the timing does need to be a bit higher based on what we find out. So my car gonna get redynoed and no extra charge. I know this aint exactly what you guys wanted to see but I will keep you guys posted when I take it back.

Since the tuner held back on the timing at 24 degrees, it put down 414rwhp/380rwtq on a mustang dyno. I know these are low numbers but when we drove it back, we increased the timing to 27 degrees and that's when it started to wake up. I know there's still more in there. So we called him back and told him this info. He said he will be more than happy to do it. The timing was held back because he didn't want it knocking without knowing how much timing it needed at first. So we told him the heads can handle it. So that's why we going back to the dyno shop. I was told 28 to 30 degrees is safe. But also, I was told you can probably go a little higher but not too much. So as of right now with the custom tune in my handheld, the timing got bumped to 28 but I don't know exactly the dyno numbers at 28. I tell you right now it feels alot more than 414rwhp. Not to worry, it's gonna get straight.

BTW, these numbers i posted up could of been higher even at 24 degrees but on two pulls the tires broke loose on the rollers. I had it on video but I accidently recorded over it. I have the sheet but it's at home right now and I'm in class. On the sheet, you can see that the hp/tq lopped off cause the tires broke loose and the car was strapped on tight as it supposed to be. Like I said there's more there. I just gotta get on the dyno again and record results.

I would probably have a different tuner look at it. Seems rather strange that the tires blew off on both runs. Maybe they need new rollers? I had mentioned Ron @ Vengeance a while back. Maybe its time to pay him a visit and see whats up? I have not heard of your tuner really, and I did some asking around as well. It just seems like a more well seasoned person is fit for this monster really.

I'm sure it's alot more than 414 rwhp , CETA. Don't get to caught in the the dyno numbers. Just make sure it's tune for WOT , set your shift points and rev limiter and tune it to have good street manners. Your numbers will probably shine at the track and not on the dyno.
Even with my set-up, I could barley put down 370 rwhp with my new cam and stall ,but it runs like a bat out of hell at the track. Remember M6's are dyno monsters ,not A4's .

Get rid of that rear end before you are sitting on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck. I was going to do the same as you and keep the ten bolt but eventually listened to my friends and upgraded. I'm glad I did, the difference from a H/C car to a 4xx plus motor is night and day. I don't think my ten bolt would have lasted a week.
