Can't wait to see how much it puts down. That is the exact same motor I want in a few years.

Default Finally got the 427 CETA cranked up!!

Yea it took awhile to get it together, but we crunk it up today. It sounds mean as hell. However, it definately needs tuning. So, I know a reputable who has a wealth of tuning experience. But first, we have to completely go over the vehicle and make sure everything is sound. Fuel lines, harnesses, parameters, everything before it roams the streets. In the meantime, I will get a date setup for the tune. The funny thing is a friend of mine, who did the engine and tranny swap, told me some guy in a box chevy is calling me out to race. His car has 26s or 28s on his ride, he has a gen 1 big block that has been stroked(not sure to what CI). Also, I know he's running nitrous which is 200, maybe 300 shot. His car looks silly. He has floater rims on his ride. But seriously, considering his ride has heavy wheels, the car itself is heavy, and it sits higher in the air than mine, that should give me the advantage. But I dont underestimate no one's ride. So what you guys think?

In a truck with giant wheels? Not a chance IMO. Trucks have trouble hooking up anyways, add to it giant wheels and it doesn't matter how much power the truck makes.

Oh my bad. It's a 1989 caprice. Box chevy car. It's a 4 door. Never fond of these cars anyways.

IMO just get running, tunned and dialed in before you even consider running a trash talking idiot. It'd be interested too. My cam specs are very similar and similar top end, I'm just 408. I'd like to see what the extra 19ci does...

Awesome Car, Awesome motor....

+1 ^ get tuned and make sure she is running smooth before bothering with that Chevy...

anything over 100mph u will destroy him IMO.....from a dig maybe he has a chance.....but hed have to have a really good trans setup.....really i dont see how a box chevy(caprice), with a BB, heavy *** car already, then 26s and a lift that thing probably doesnt hook very well...and then a 200 shot that car is prob all over the road

Yea that's my main concern getting it tuned properly. I'm not even worried about that guy anyways. I can't wait to get my ride back on the road. That right there is my goal. The next time I get it cranked up, I try to post up a video. No corny theme music but the sound of muscle.

I wouldn't sweat that donk lol, now if he shows up to the race on a decent tire and wheel then I'd be concerend. But I wouldn't worry about him till you clear everything with your car. Let us know how it comes along.
I'm working on a ls3/m6 swap right now, then eventually stroke it to a 416. Good choice on the 427

We did relocate the MAP to the front and provide the sensor extension for him with the engine to help in installation and fitment.

Also if you notice, the FAST 57# injectors have harness clips on them to make them work with his factory harness. Everything about this build was thought out and the engine was sold as a complete package.

The only things he needs to get are a flexplate and ducting to the 102 TB. It comes with new knock sensors even and the knock and cam sensor extension harness to make sure that everything is plug and play.
That is exactly what im looking for, might have to go through u guys when i do my longblock

yea true. like before, i aint worried. i was told that he was saying he got a 592 stroked from a 408. but, a good friend of mine whose working on my car says that box chevy has a 408 in it. he knows cause he used to work on that motor before but it was in a previous customer's S10. original customer of the 408 swapped for a gen 2 sb 350. i say 592 is a hell of a stroke from a 408. I didn't think it's possible to stroke a motor that far out. Someone correct if im wrong. If it's true, he's got mix-match setup. Running stock fuel lines with 300 shot and 750cfm carb, that motor gonna starve to death.
