Default Can I use LS7 cam in LS2?

About to have LS7 cam installed in LS2 (07 Vette with 6.0 but now up to 6.6 since i blew the stock engine). Just want some assurance that this will fit with no problems. Anyone know?

It will slide right in and open the valves as you are intending and is meant to use the front mounted cam sensor that your LS2 vehicle had....so no issues there. Whether or not it's right for the application is for another thread entirely!

lol point taken. Basically I got a shortblock with a cam in it 234/243 115 LSA with like 0.600 on the intake and exhaust, but it hate how it idles. So I just want something that idles perfectly smooth. The power I'll make up for with the supercharger and nos hopefully :-)

Thanks Matt!!!

You need to measure PR length.. nobody on the internet can guess for you.

You also could have had a custom cam speced for you that would meet your idle and drivability goals while being more efficient power production wise.

In theory yes. But ever hear the saying "measure twice cut once"

Throwing parts into an engine without knowing clearances, preload, and things of that matter doesn't normally equal 1000's of trouble free miles.

It only takes a 15 dollar PR checker and 10 minutes to measure. And once you get it down pat.. its like second nature too you, and then no longer do you have to guess or ask people to guess for you.

Well so far so good. I've got the LS7 cam in and I'm loving it. The torque is great down low, of course this is on a 402 w a Novi 1500 so torque isn't a problem, but feels better down low than the last cam I had in which was a 234/242 115LSA with around .600 lift on both int and exh. Thanks for the info everyone.
