Why don't more people run the lsx 454 crate?

like erik and tooley said- its all in the prep work and checking

it goes a long way-good bore work-good clearance-good rings.......and then check it again......

rings lately have really opened my eyes up .......

good prep work will go a long way....


and the funny thing is that it does not take much effort when you do it right

I have a lsx 454 in a hq one tonne ute runs 10.5 down the quarter mile couldn't be any happier than that

I have two friends running this engine box stock, cars are fast cruisers.

That said if I saw a great deal on one, fire sale, I'd probably grab it but I'm talking like half of retail.

Considering how many LS engines come back from the dead ( i.e. junkyard ), I'd have no doubt that it would be the engine of choice for Christine.
