I believe LS3 and LS7 lifters use the same part number.

I can see if you are building a all out drag engine, yeah spend money on lifters. But something that isn't spending it's life in the 3000-7000rpm range should be fine with ls7 or SLR lifters and the plastic trays. Use a torque wrench and you should be fine IMO I laugh at people who say "i just snug it up it should be fine" it's pretty obvious what you don't do for a living

Minimum of .035 to max of .100 preload. Basically same lifter as Johnson 2110.

No problem. I’d shoot for around .060 myself with those lifters.

People that run ls7 lifters or say they've always worked for them are the same type of people that are like "mY lS7 hEaDs ArE fInE nO nEeD tO rEbUiLd ThEm!"

Just get some johnson lifters and never look back.

I bought some of these way back in 2010. There were some problems with the early versions. I never ran them, and wouldn't if I got a set for free. Two reasons why I wouldn't run them, and why I took them back;
#1: Being a Tool & Diemaker for over 30 years (in 2010) at the time, I measure EVERYTHING that goes into my engines. The Caddy lifters, all 16, measured, 001" SMALLER on the O.D. (outside diameter) than the standard LS lifters that were already in my engine, and those lifters had 30,000 miles on them!!!!
#2: I called at least 6 of the top engine builders in the country at that time, Lingenfelters, Texas Speed, Golen, LME, I forget the rest of them, and asked what lifter preload they recommended. What I DO remember is I called 6 different places, and got 6 different answers!!! Sorry, they measured undersized compared to the stock ones, and I got the impression that either nobody knew what the Hell they were talking about, or it was a tighter kept secret than the location of the Holy Grail. So I went with LS7 lifters, and I've never had any problems. If you're not racing at higher than 6,300-6,400 rpm, the Caddy lifters will make no difference, except on your bank balance. Hope this helps....

That's pretty short sighted for someone representing a company that has 'engineered development' in its title. Any engineer worth their salt knows that it always boils down to the requirements - and if your requirements are within the capabilities of a part's/combination's specs, then you'll have no issues running them. I could throw a greased up iron slug down the the lifter bore if all I wanted to do was get it to start just one time. All. In. The. Requirements. Have care what you say. The industry professionals are watching
