I honestly am. I'm trying to show him that you really don't need the high dollar ITB's to make power and go fast. I'm not trying to take away from your build and others. I've actually been close to pulling the trigger on close to the same deal. It's reall yjust not the ideal route if you don't want to throw money away and still have a real solid combo. Just sayin'

Depends what you want from your car.

Your car will be .5-.75 sec quicker than mine in the 1/4 mile. Round something with turns, I will be 10 secs plus faster than yours(being generous here). What is your definition of Fast? Likely different than mine.

If I wanted to gut my car, put drag shocks, drag brakes, auto trans and drag suspension, I would be in the same time range. At 511 rwhp I went 10.78@129 on a road race suspension 8 years ago. Should have an extra 100hp to play with now. I have had this debate a hundred times. It depends what you want. If he wants a cheaper drag motor, you are 100% correct. Street manners, stealthy and handling potential. Our way is best. Look at Stage 7s, not a drag car either. Look at the C6Rs, not a single TB tunnel ram. There is a reason for that.

The guy made a good choice IMO, and they are a stunner with the hood up at a cruise night.

Depends what you want.

Dude, you haven't got a clue. Gut the car!? Really?? Mine is at 3800 lb race weight with A/C full factory leather and a 1500 watt stereo with 12 inch subs. My car has NEVER been set up to be a race car and never will. Thats why i don't even have a bar. It is a full on sleeper that i created for just that. If you seen my car parked on the street you would'nt have a clue it wasn't a stock 315 horse WS6 and thats the way i roll and always will

I have the legally required safety equipment so I can go out when ever I want and I can pass our emission tests. 1500 watts here too.

Care to meet up and we will do both drags and a road course on the same day and combine times for a winner? Maybe find an emissions testing facility too? I have a place near by if you are up for it. Might make me get mine back together.

I have a clue? lol

Sorry OP, but you picked a nice set up and will be happy with it.

Ramair, if you like we can take this to PMs and save the guys thread, shoot me a PM.

Briou you only have a few good ls7's.... TSP,a program for LS7's or head by WCCH,Mast, or AI CnC program. All these heads will be very close together in power and some in price as well. I hear you on the HYD. Realistically I really didn't need to go solid but I knew I would get more out of it .....I'm thinking I will have over 700hp and more than 550-560rwhp with just a 408 & 4l80 trans. My cam looks something like mid 250's and upper 260's @.50 with well over 700 lift. You have a bigger better Beast....I can tell you right off the rip you will have over 750+hp & on the cam LOOK into Pat.G, Martin,or some 1 who will build you a custom cam FOR JUST your engine not just a cookie cutter cam or 1 that is massed produced.

I am definitely going with a custom grind cam....I am not sure if I am going to assemble it myself or not....I have a buddy of mine who is going to graduate from SAM in the spring and he has been helping me out with the build so far....I think we are going to try to put it together ourselves....if not I will look into the guys you mentioned...
